In a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Chappell Roan reflected on her journey from indie pop darling to Grammy award-winning pop superstar. Roan expressed pride in maintaining her authenticity throughout her meteoric rise while also refusing to compromise her identity for success. “I did not kiss the ring,” Roan said of her success. “I did not jump through the hoops that I was told I had to to get a fu**ing Grammy. Roan also revealed that she has been in a “serious” relationship for six months, and that she is “very in love.” (Rolling Stone)
