Beyoncé Releases New Single ‘Break My Soul’ From Upcoming Album

Beyoncé recently released a new song, “Break My Soul,” the first single from her upcoming album, Renaissance.

“Imma let down my hair/’Cause I lost my mind,” she sings. “Bey is back and I’m sleeping real good at night/The queens in the front and the doms in the back/Ain’t takin’ no flicks but the whole clique snapped.”

“Break My Soul” is Beyoncé’s first piece of music since the announcement of her new album Renaissance. The track is also her first original song since the release of “Be Alive” last year.

“Break My Soul” was produced by Beyoncé, The-Dream, and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart.

Renaissance, Bey’s upcoming seventh studio album, will drop on July 29 via Columbia Records. The record is a follow-up to Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 chart, earning the singer her sixth solo No. 1.
