Carly Rae Jepsen Announces New Album ‘The Loneliest Time’

Carly Rae Jepsen announced via a post on Instagram that she will be releasing a new album, The Loneliest Time on October 21 via 604/Schoolboy/Interscope.

The cover art shared by Jepsen shows her sitting at a table covered with painted fruits, flowers and pearls, with the album’s title placed by the side of the artwork.

“I’m quite fascinated by loneliness,” Jepsen’s caption reads. “It can be really beautiful when you turn it over and look at it. Just like love, it can cause some extreme human reactions.”

A press release says the upcoming album will be the singer’s “most introspective body of work to date.”

The album, which is Jepsen’s fifth, will feature collaborations with Tavish Crowe, Rostam Batmanglij, Bullion, Captain Cuts, John Hill, Kyle Shearer, and Alex Hope.

Jepsen released the album’s lead single “Western Wind” along with a music video in May.
