Travis Scott will be honored with the annual I Am Hip Hop Award at the upcoming 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony. The yearly presentation is made to rap artists who have generated significant cultural and creative impacts on the genre. “Travis Scott is a visionary artist who continues to push the boundaries of music, culture, and live performance,” Connie Orlando, EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy, saidin a statement. “With his unmatched creativity and relentless passion, he has redefined what it means to be a captivating, inspiring entertainer within the hip hop genre.” Scott is nominated for six BET Hip Hop Awards this year, including Best Live Performer, Hip-Hop Album of the Year for Utopia, and Song of the Year for his Playboi Carti collaboration, “FE!N.” The 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 15.
