Former E Street Band touring member Tom Morello reunited with Bruce Springsteen for two songs at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, April 7th.

Morello joined the Boss on guitar for “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “American Skin (41 Shots).” The performance marked the first time these songs were performed during the 2024 tour.

“American Skin (41 Shots)” was last performed live as a full band in 2017, while “The Ghost of Tom Joad” was last performed with the E Street Band in 2016.

Morello, who is popular for his tenure with the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, has also played as a live member of Springsteen’s live group, the E Street Band, between 2012 and 2014.

Springsteen and the E Street Band started their 2024 world tour at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 19. They will continue the first U.S. leg of their world tour until April 19.

After that, they’ll embark on an extensive European leg, which will be wrapped up by two back-to-back concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium in July.
